AGCRA Potomac Chapter – National Capital Region AG Week 2025: A Celebration of 250 Years of Excellence

The AGCRA Potomac Chapter proudly celebrated AG Week across the National Capital Region with events that blended comradery, network, professional development, and tradition in honor of the Corps’ 250th Anniversary.

The week began with a No-Host Social at Perch Putt in Tysons Corner, Virginia. In a relaxed, open-air atmosphere, AG professionals, family, and friends shared food, laughter, and stories, strengthening the bonds of our community in a perfect kickoff to the week’s festivities.

The Chapter hosted an insightful Leadership Professional Development  Breakfast at Fort Myer’s Brucker Hall. The session featured a trio of national leaders, including AGCRA National President SGM (Ret.) Dr. Mark A. Clark Jr., VP of Membership CW4 Alexander Pinckney, and VP of Programs CW2 Angie Barthelemy. They shared updates on new national initiatives and offered valuable pointers on how local chapters can continue to grow and improve, engaging directly with AG professionals of the NCR.

The celebration culminated on Friday, 3 October, with the AGCRA Potomac Chapter Annual Ball — the Black & White Gala at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel. The sold-out formal event personified 250 years of AG excellence, welcoming over 380 guests for an unforgettable evening. The Gala was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including the Honorable Christine Wormuth, Former Secretary of the Army, and featured an inspiring keynote address by the 64th Adjutant General of the U.S. Army, BG Adam D. Smith. A highlight of the night was celebrating the Corps’ top professionals, with over 30 awardees receiving the Robert L. Manning Achievement Medal and the Horatio Gates Bronze and Gold Medals for their outstanding contributions.

AG Week 2025 in the NCR embodied what defines the AG community: connection, leadership, and a lasting legacy.
