How to Ensure Your AGCRA Gift Membership Is Properly Activated

To reduce unclaimed or inactive gift memberships, please follow the steps below to ensure your gift is successfully processed and applied to your recipient’s account.

Step 1: Confirm the Gift Recipient Has an AGCRA Account

Your Gift Recipient must have an AGCRA membership account established in order to activate the gift. The account may be inactive — that is acceptable. If the recipient does not have an account, you will need to create one.

If creating an account for your Gift Recipient:

Ensure you are logged out of AGCRA.com.

Click the “Join Now” button at the top of the website.

Use the Gift Recipient’s home email address as the username.

Create a temporary password and provide it to the recipient.

Complete the Gift Recipient’s membership profile before logging out. You may need to enter placeholder (“dummy”) information in required fields to complete the profile setup.

Step 2: Activate the Gift Membership

Once the recipient’s account exists, log back into your AGCRA membership account.

Go to the “Your Profile” tab.

Scroll down to “Gift History.”

You will see one of the following options:

Option 1 – “Copy link to clipboard”
Click the active link and email it to your Gift Recipient. When the recipient logs into their AGCRA account, they should paste the link into their web browser’s address bar and press Enter. This will activate the gift membership and update their expiration date.

Option 2 – “Activate Now”
Simply click this link, and the gift membership will automatically update the recipient’s account.

Final Step: Notify Your Gift Recipient

Inform your Gift Recipient that their membership has been activated.

If you are unsure whether your gift was accepted or properly processed, log into your account and review your Gift History today. Taking a few minutes to verify ensures your gift is fully applied and your recipient receives the full benefit of AGCRA membership.
