Streamlining Success: AGCRA Awards Program Update & Training

The AGCRA Awards Committee is pleased to report significant progress under the Awards Process Optimization Plan, aimed at enhancing efficiency and consistency across all award submissions. We sincerely thank all chapters for their continued patience and support during this period of transition.

An updated AGCRA Award Nomination Form is now available for download and use on the AGCRA website. Chapter leaders are encouraged to review the new recommender acknowledgment section, which reinforces the importance of proper verification and communication at the chapter level. Your attention to these updates will help ensure a smoother and more streamlined nomination process.

To further strengthen chapter-level award management, a Chapter VP, Awards Training session will be held on 25 October at 2:00 PM EST via Zoom. Alternates and other Chapter Officers are also invited to attend. Training participants will receive valuable resources, including:

A Standard Operations Procedure (SOP) Chapter Template

An Awards Tracker Template

A COL Robert L. Manning Award Template for chapters participating in the RLM Decentralization Program

The Zoom link and training sign-up form have been emailed directly to chapter leadership for distribution and use.

In preparation, chapters are encouraged to establish a dedicated Google Drive and email account for their awards program. Doing so will help maintain continuity and smooth transitions when leadership changes occur.
