AGCRA Carolina Chapter Hosts Successful Coffee Social
The Carolina Chapter of the Adjutant General's Corps Regimental Association (AGCRA) recently hosted a Coffee Social that brought together 50 enthusiastic members, fostering a strong sense of belonging. Held in a casual and welcoming atmosphere at the home of the AG Corps on Fort Jackson, SC, the gathering provided an opportunity for new and existing members to connect, learn more about the Association's ongoing initiatives, and discuss upcoming events designed to strengthen the Chapter's community ties.
The event was opened by MAJ Laura Rollins, Chapter President, who expressed her gratitude to everyone in attendance for their commitment to the Chapter. MAJ Rollins emphasized the importance of the AGCRA in supporting the professional and personal development of its members, and inspiring everyone to actively engage with the Association. Her welcoming remarks set the tone for the meeting, highlighting the benefits of AGCRA membership, upcoming events, and ways members can contribute to the Chapter's success.
One of the primary goals of the social was to push membership sign-ups and to ensure current members were fully aware of the benefits and resources the AGCRA provides. From this event alone, the Chapter saw a rise in active membership by 5%, demonstrating strong engagement and enthusiasm for the organization's mission. Numerous Soldiers signed up on the spot at the event, and some were even lucky enough to be sponsored by several senior leaders who have been long-time AGCRA members and took the opportunity to share how their involvement in the Association has positively impacted their careers and personal lives. From professional networking to mentorship opportunities and educational resources, these testimonials underscored the enduring value of staying connected to the AGCRA Community.
Another key focus of the event was engaging members and fostering a strong sense of community. Members were encouraged to take on more active roles within the Chapter, whether through volunteering at events, contributing to leadership discussions, or simply sharing their experiences with others who may benefit from joining. The Coffee Social allowed attendees to discuss their ideas on how to keep the Chapter vibrant and how to support its mission of promoting excellence within the Adjutant General's Corps.
Attendees also heard about several exciting upcoming events, providing further opportunities for members to connect and give back. The Chapter hosted a Lunch and Bowl on October 24th, that offered a fun and competitive environment for members and their families. Additionally, as the holiday season approaches, the Chapter will be involved in gift wrapping and participating in Wreaths Across America, a national effort to honor Veterans by laying wreaths on their graves. These activities will culminate in a Chapter Gala in February, where members can come together to celebrate their achievements and reflect on the Chapter’s growth.
The Coffee Social was a great success, leaving members energized and ready to take on the chapter's upcoming initiatives. With a calendar full of events and a strong focus on membership engagement, the AGCRA Carolina Chapter is well-positioned to continue thriving in the months ahead, a testament to the collective efforts and commitment of its members.
